My methodology
1. Human Connection
The design world can be distracting, but we can't forget products are in the service of people. Human relationships are based on assumptions about people. Ask: What can I do to elevate the human experience in the digital world? Curiosity and empathy powers the research and synthesis that are core to great visual design.
2. Dream Big
It all begins with an idea, great endings inspire great beginnings. Keep your eyes on the road, Are you proud of your work? Does this product move you? Solidifying the outcome enables us to define how to achieve it, measure progress, and anticipate many of the changing conditions to come.
3. Diverse Disciplines
Set clear goals and intentions. We can save time by creating the best environment possible. Staying on a clear path will drive a better outcome with happy designers.
4. More eyes the better
Address what needs attention, feedback and collaboration directly impact the product quality. Explore the possibilities, find new perspectives, ask more questions. Use prototyping and testing to address issues early on and explore new opportunities.
5. Redefine the standard.
Risk and reward are always a factor, visual design is always a battle with endless compromises, but don’t let constraints hold the design back. Time will allow for greater research. Continue to produce a great product that pushes boundaries and results.
6. Go Forward
Take what you learned and run with it. Reflection is key for growth. Taking the time to dissect the design solution is important. Prioritize learning from experience, and everyone benefits.
